‘Back Down 2020’ is a track about never giving up.
2020 is our year not to Back Down. A global protest during a global pandemic, 2020 will forever go down in history as the year we didn’t give up. And that is what Back Down 2020 is about.
A blend of Eastern and Western influences, and the track’s intentions, are personified by Vancouver’s Gary “Saint Lion” Mangat, who I am grateful gave his all for this video.

As the world’s eyes open up to systemic racism, I hope this song can add to the growing voices of South Asian’s in support of Black Lives Matter and Indigenous Lives Matter movements.
