Born in the clubs and raised in the recording studio, Global Party Starters is a DJ/Production crew hailing from Vancouver, BC, Canada. Comprised of Juno Award Nominee DJ A-SLAM and protege DJ REKing, the Global Party Starters just released their breakout album, “TONIGHT”.
The group teamed up with platinum award winning artist Elise Estrada for their hit single also titled ‘Tonight’, which has been receiving radio play across Canada on Hot AC stations, just passed 10 000 streams on Spotify, and recently hit full rotation on Stingray’s Hit List.
In their short time as a group, GPS has already achieved some significant music industry milestones. They were recently nominated for two Canadian Songwriting Awards, and were semi-finalists in the Unsigned Only Music Competition. They also won one of the prestigious Telus StoryHive awards for their music video “Bout Us”.
The GPS sound is following in the footsteps of other groups like Major Lazer, A Tribe Called Red and Delhi 2 Dublin, combining electronic beats with hip-hop and cultural influences. Delivering a high-energy sound, socially conscious videos, and a hype live show, GPS is poised to be Canada’s next great musical export.
